The Shaolin Butterfly Affirmation and Path
As part of the development of the Butterfly Qigong System I have written a Shaolin Butterfly Affirmation for students of Shaolin Butterfly Qigong. This Butterfly Affirmation is based upon the concepts and teachings of the Shaolin Butterfly Style as it was taught to me and how I understand it, and is meant to help guide us in our practice of Butterfly Qigong, aiding in balance and harmony and proper growth through the art in Spirit, Mind/Heart, Qi, and Body.
The Shaolin Butterfly Style and Shaolin Butterfly Qigong are “High, Internal” styles. As such Butterfly Qigong is a natural method of what is known as “Shen Gong.” It ennobles us and enriches us, lifting our vision beyond the mundane and purifies the heart/mind, allowing us to perceive the greater and higher dimensions and realities both within ourselves and in all Creation.
** It is recommended that the student of Shaolin Butterfly Qigong recite the Butterfly Affirmation before practice, with palms joined together at the heart, then perform the Shaolin Butterfly Salutation and Bow; and then proceed to the actual practice of Butterfly Qigong. When the practice session is complete one then repeats this process- chanting/reciting the Butterfly Code, from the heart with palms joined, then performing the Butterfly Qigong Salutation and Bow.
** The Butterfly is the heart of the Dragon. The Dragon is a symbol of Heaven, the Divine Realm. The Butterfly Heart of the Dragon is Unity and Infinity, Change and Transformation, Beauty and Love- and more, such as Respect, Protection, Blessing, Wisdom, Compassion, Light, Power and Discipline. As students of Shaolin Butterfly Qigong, we are this Butterfly Heart of the Dragon here on earth, sharing the blessings of the Butterfly Way with all. Enjoy the journey and remember, “don’t worry, be happy.”
THE SHAOLIN BUTTERFLY QIGONG AFFIRMATION:
“Shaolin Butterfly Qigong is the Path of Unity and Infinity, Change and Transformation, Beauty and Love. With respect, kindness and compassion in our hearts may all blessings be.”
