BREATHING METHODS: known by many names, such as- QiGong, NeiGong, Pranayama, Disciplined Breathing, Regulated Breathing, Tu-na, Spirit Breathing, Breath of Life, and so many others the world over...working with the breath is a deep and endless art, yet one which yields benefits right away...Breathing Methods may be practiced in many, many ways, such as- coordinated with sound/ mantra; movements, postures, and gestures; inner geometry- lines, triangles, spirals, square, circle, and more; inner colors; objects, both living and inanimate- trees, stick, staff, sword, crystals, rocks, sky and earth, lakes, ocean, rivers, drums, rattles, gongs, and more...when we are born, there is the breath; throughout our life the breath is always there, noticed or unnoticed; when we pass on the breath leaves us...thus, the breath is synonymous with Life itself...nurture your breath like growing a plant- pay attention daily, but dont overdo it or underdo it...martial arts, yoga, meditation, reiki, massage and bodywork, spiritual arts, shamanism, music, and so many other arts emphasize developing the breath...and of course Breathing Methods give us more life in our lives; so simple, so good- and so underutilized in our 'modern civilization.'
